In typical Kotakism, Kotak has decided to move against the market... The market is up and the Kotak Securities website is down. Attached is a screenshot that shows Kotak down with this blog open. So seriously, what is wrong with Kotak? I think its lack of commitment to its customers, taking its customers for granted, and just generating obscene profits coupled with crappy service

I called up the Mumbai Team only to get a muted "Sorry" from them.
That really is all that Kotak gives its customers... lip service. The real problem is that most times customers expect real service. When the market goes down, customers have positions and would like to square them off. Similarly, when the markets are going up, customers would like to take positions. Unfortunately, Kotak cannot accomodate customers at these times, probably because they have limited bandwith and computing capability on their server. And the customers obviously are helpless and are at the mercy of Kotak.
Been Having Problems on a continuous basis. Called up the Mumbai team again only to get a response that the servers are hanging "every now and then".
Jeez!!
I have spoken to couple of other providers but have yet to find a reliable and cheap online trading provider.
Any suggestions? I am thinking of switching over to Sharekhan or Reliance Capital.
